How to make a custom scene in 1.0

Edited by TheCuriousSeed at 2021-7-4 19:42

Want to visit a bygone room? How about a totally different realm altogether? Well, if you haven't found a thread about making custome rooms in 1.0 yet, now one's available!

1. Upon entry into Pixie Hollow 1.0 (Crystal2780!! just released a new thread about reaching Pixie Hollow 1.0, so if confused, try following said thread first), you'll be greeted by the map. Oh, and the link is under this step:

1a. Scroll as far to the bottom left of your screen as possible without leaving the Pixie Hollow window and you will see Custom Scene. Click there.

2. Once there, you will be in a blank navy room. Silver blinked here. :\

3.Where Silver's hovering, that's the Browse button. Click there first.

4. I won't show you my exact files, but from there, choose a picture file. .jpgs and .png work well, but try other formats you have.

4a. The background is still navy in the above picture, but now Silver's showing that when you're done, click the Done button.

4b. This is one example of a custom scene before clicking Done, but after selecting a file. Yours will look different because this is one of my art pieces.

4c. And here's an example of after clicking Done.

5. Finished!

Had to start over...

Here goes. Again.

Squished a bit, but still works. By the by, Silver blinked. Again.

6. Very important! If you leave your custom scene and return in the same session, it'll most likely appear squished, even with close dimensions to the Pixie Hollow window. You can either keep the squished scene or start over at this point.
