Where are the devs?

The reason why I'm posting this is because I thought about posting this a lot in my dreams. But where have the devs been? There hasn't really been a FairyABC update in a while. I get that they're busy but if any of you have contact, can you please remind them about the site? It just feels dead to me now. I'm not rushing them or anything. I just feel like they need to do more work on this site (maybe they are, it's just not published yet). I don't know. I'm only posting this because of my dreams.

thank you for publicly posting about this; i believe it's been on all of our minds for months now. i ...
As someone who used to be on the site every single day around 2016-2017 and has now devolved into a lurker, I personally left the forums because of all the technical issues and boredom from a lack of updates. The poor management, confusing UI system (of both forum and world), and inability to even access the actual game without downloading a completely different browser drew me away.

I admit that I'm a sucker for nostalgia, but why even bother beating a dead horse when I can support newer games/franchises with friendlier UI systems and promising development? It's sentimental to log onto this site once in a while, but that's all the charm fairyabc has. The nostalgia trip definitely gets old after a while when you see nothing has really changed.

I appreciate your positivity and I'm still glad there is a sense of community within the forums. I remember when pixie hollow just shut down and I heard that they were reviving the game through fairyabc. I was so excited just waiting for it and beyond amazed when fairyabc became available to the public. A few years later, the nostalgic factor has started to wear off and even though PH still has a place in my heart, I have no shame in saying that I've moved on from waiting on updates from this site. Whether the devs renew the domain or not, the site has had a good run and having the site come to fruition was a great feat in itself.

While I am at peace with the site closing down, no amount of faith, trust, and pixie dust can excuse the devs who've straight up ghosted their entire project. It's like they've taken their donations and ran. Receiving some kind of closure or an update is definitely needed.

I wholeheartedly agree with all the statements above. I am extremely appalled at the fact that the developers have not once notified the players nor the staff about anything. Just now, as I am typing this reply, the forum glitched out on Maxthon and I suspect it'll only get worse.

Both the game and the forum are deteriorating from no maintenance and it's quite upsetting knowing that the end is near. I still have some hope that the developers will return and fix everything, but that hope is running very low. I do sincerely hope that they remember that they had devoted players and staff donate to help them with the site, and I hope that the money was used responsibly. All in all, I'm extremely upset by their actions of abandoning the community when we deserve SO much better.

THIS ::clapping:: I wish they'd at least tell us they're on a hiatus instead of leaving us hanging, but we got no warning or notice whatsoever. The site is really falling because of it. There isn't much activity anymore at all. I feel like they've given up on FairyABC, or at least that's how it seems right now. I hope that changes in the future, honestly.

I agree with all of the above in general. If they had concentrated on the original game & not added all the extra stuff untilll the game was stable would have more sense! I still check once a week or so here but just saying there is hope in another direction but I think we need some actual mature people to help with the development & running of the game, discord or any forum... Take care all <3

The point is nothing is the same for long. Things change. That's why I made my Eras of Pixie Hollow video. What I'm hoping is the developers would come back or maybe new people would start working on this site and making it thrive again. Or maybe WTP will take over. At least I'm grateful we got the realm meadows. I don't think WTP will use them but I'm hoping it'll have six fairy slots and all the talents we have today. It wasn't in the OG Pixie Hollow, but it should've added this stuff. There should be more talent skills too.

I have no doubt something will change. I have no doubt things will eventually get better because they always do. Things change for better and for worse. My personal guess is that the devs are so busy with real mainland jobs that thinking about this site would just stress them out. They are young adults after all. I wouldn't get mad at them. Real life can be hard. But what's important is that we keep the Pixie Hollow community alive. And we should enjoy our mainland lives as well.

I appreciate that the developers kept this place going for as long as they have. I am just thankful for being able to just log into the Hollow. I know some players are having problems logging into the game.I actually think this place just lost players that kept this community going with in-game activities, forum activities, and artwork. The old moderators were great and losing those loyal players caused what we see here. The developers haven't updated 1.0 at all in years an 2.0 is almost unplayable so I don't see them being absent as the main problem.I do hope Susie and the other developers return and I am just thankful they kept it going for as long as they have. How can we be upset with them when they gave us extra years to fly around as fairies for free?

I'd be willing to make one if FABC really does shut down. I really want to stay connected with everyone if it happens, and I don't have a Discord and don't care to get one, so that would be a good way to be able to keep in touch, if anyone would even join it.

i've been on the site for almost 3 years now (can't believe it's been that long!) and i can't imagine this site just ceasing to exist. i really hope the devs (or in the very least One of the two) come back!!! if not, would anyone be interested in making a proboards forum or something in the event that the domain expires so that the forum can still exist? i know there's a pixie hollow forum and a few discord servers but i'd hate to see this forum disappear entirely : (

Hey Everybody (or who's left). Sorry to say the Developers (Fzrasu and Wind) have not done anything...

I absolutely agree, and I really don't understand why they just up and abandoned us like this. It's very unprofessional and rude to leave without warning and not even telling anyone. And it wasn't even just one developer leaving. It was the whole bunch. I have a feeling that they're not ever going to come back, and when the domain expires and the site goes offline this year, that'll be the end of FABC, as much as I hate to say it...

You're very brave imo for posting this! ❤️ I was wondering when someone would bring this up. I had hope until recently now that I know they're not responding to questions.... They could at least tell us they wouldn't be updating. If they're working on it and it's just taking time, tell us! I don't mind waiting if I know something will happen. I get life happens. I respect and admire the task they took on but it is a huge one! If they need help, I'll try my best. I don't mind coming onto the forums to keep interacting with my friends and others. However, I joined mainly to play and to fly again. To bring back and make more memories. Like many others I'm sure did. My heart breaks if FairyABC is abandoned. I agree with Pandora, it was rude!

Fuffeedoo1 Posted on 2020-2-2 22:43:27

I feel like the important thing is that the community is kept alive. While I'd love for there to be an actual Hollow (and I'm sure there will be in some way with WTP going on), it's the posts and the videos that keep me happy. I just want people to see them.

Because I dislike negativity, I'd like to mention that even though I'd compare the Empty Era (April 2019 to now) to the Dark Era (late 2015 to May 2016 when the community really died), at least there's still something to fly around in though it's not much. For me, the existence of the new meadows is enough. And hey, I'm posting fairy videos. I honestly doubt they abandoned the site on purpose. Maybe they're focused on something else or something and forgot about it. It could be lower on the priority list. It would be better if they gave occasional updates though.
