A Developer's Introduction
Hi, everyone!I made this account ages ago but played one day and then got too busy.
I'm a developer and would love to contribute to the site and game. Unfortunately, I couldn't find anything on how to contribute. I sent an email to the developer email, but since a few things on the site seem to be broken, I thought I would make a post in the forums as well to see if anyone can get me in touch!
Hopefully I can give back to this adorable little community!
you should try to get involved more before you try to apply ?:| Edited by XxDawnxX at 2018-6-12 19:23
welcome back to the hollow! i believe that there is always work to be done, and im sure that the developers would appreciate the aid of someone as capable as another developer! a lot of the mods have been saying that there are enough members, which is true; we do have a BUNCH of mods. however, we currently only have two developers. not many people are capable of doing such extensive work, and i think that you could be an asset to the community! i really dont think its a sad reach^^^, i believe that you are appropriately interested in applying your skills and. i wish you the best of luck, and thank you so much for wanting to give back to this community! <3 Teresa replied at 2018-6-13 16:37
Congrats, you can take a quote out of context!
Hey... no need to argue... Let me just say being a developer means you are at the highest role possible other than the creator (Wind). A developer is a huge deal here on Fairyabc and it is not a job given to newcomers, it may be like that on other sites, but not on this one. A developer is a very important role, earned. Not asked for. I'm sure the devs and the admins will make a wise decision on this topic. As for now, I will be closing this thread, if developers and administrators, or global moderators, would like to add on to the thread, they may. Thank you Teresa, what programming skills do you have? Oh, if you have not really been active then i'm pretty sure you don't know what has been going on, dont mean to sound rude or anything, but i think you should try to be active and understand the site first and then apply for a developer lol but hey thats just my thought, the thing is you made an account and then after that you didnt come on it, so you dont really know what the site was going through around that time? but if you still want to apply, go for it. You wouldn't have to be given control of the game to help. Help is the word that stood out most to me. Ideas and programming skills can only help the game. Talking to Susie and seeing what she needs and what she will trust you with is what you should do. Also enjoying the community and getting to know everyone will earn trust. Cool man. Welcome | Hi Teresa!
| Unfortunately, being in the developer team is not an open role for just anyone and it's been the same people who have been working on this game for the past 2-3 years. Edited by Teresa at 2018-6-12 11:46
Thanks for the information, MoonFields! Are you part of the team? Can I pm you with some questions?
@wanderlust I guess I’m curious why newer people can’t contribute to development, as changes wouldn’t be able to be made without the owners’ approval for each change, so it’s not risky or anything.
Thank you very much, Pandora! Hi. Welcome. Everyone has worked very hard to be on staff, it's not just a role that is given out. It's earned. Besides, we have enough people on staff. As for you. you've just got back, just enjoy the game! @}-- Welcome!!!!!!!!!. I would contact Fzrasu/ Susie by sending her a PM and explain to her how you can possibly be an asset to fairyabc. You never know what will be the outcome. I hope you enjoy your time here.
