She's a Snowflake Faerie, fiercely independant, she likes to push her feelings down because she isn't too fond of negative emotions. She's been through quite a bit, but she hasn't stopped trying, or fighting through whatever's in her way. She's protective of her friends, and mildly hyperactive. Nightshade is always upbeat, but takes time somethimes to slow down, and focus on what's important.
