New Era Helen (Entry for Art Fest 2022)

For a while I’ve been wanting to make a 3D edit of my fairy for old time's sake, after all it’s how I got started into making art. However after spending some time looking for some base material, I decided “why do I just paint her?” so that’s exactly what I did. It’s a bit of a sentimental painting to me, it shows how far I’ve come in art and in my passion for getting better at art.
Coincidently when making this, Art Fest has been going on, so in spirit of it, this will be my entry. c: Throughout painting, I came up with a backstory to my fairy and who she is in the world of Pixie Hollow, if anyone is interested I'll make a separate post on it! Paintng totally works better here because I've seen some 3D edits and although yours are among the better I've seen, this painting was indeed a wise choice.

aaaAAH it's been so long Jasper!! It's great hearing from you again as well!! I'm always glad to join contests on here, they're so fun, thanks for hosting one!! I'm rather intrigued on how I'd go about painting Jasper

Thank you!!! I found the original outfit cute but I felt like it needed some flair to it yenno? I'm glad you like it c:

Honestly, I went with painting because I felt like it'd be more work to make a 3D edit with the current way I make art. I'd probably end up painting over a lot of what I edit on. I'll admit I am curious on how it'd turn out if I did make a 3D edit again after 2+ years
